- Assist attorneys with legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case development and strategy.
- Draft, review, proofread, and edit legal documents including contracts, pleadings, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Manage case files and document repositories using document management systems like iManage and PCLaw to ensure easy retrieval and organization.
- Conduct thorough document review and data entry to support litigation, transactional work, or regulatory compliance efforts.
- Support project management tasks by coordinating deadlines, scheduling meetings, and maintaining calendars for multiple cases or client matters.
- Interview clients, witnesses, or stakeholders to gather pertinent information for ongoing cases or legal investigations.
- Maintain excellent communication with clients, attorneys, courts, and external agencies through professional phone etiquette and timely updates.
- Perform administrative duties such as filing documents with courts or agencies, managing legal administrative tasks, and supporting overall office operations.
- Proven paralegal experience with a strong background in diverse practice areas including civil litigation, personal injury law, litigation support, and trial practice.
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw; experience with legal case management software like iManage or PCLaw is highly preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence; proficiency in proofreading and transcription is essential.
- Ability to perform thorough research on complex legal issues across various jurisdictions and practice areas.
