- Provide administrative support to attorneys and legal teams, including scheduling, correspondence, and file management
- Conduct thorough legal research using platforms such as LexisNexis, Westlaw, and iManage to assist with case preparation and strategy
- Draft, review, proofread, and edit legal documents such as contracts, pleadings, memos, and reports with precision
- Manage document review processes and ensure accurate filing within electronic case management systems
- Assist with client interviews, data entry, and maintaining detailed case records across various practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant law, immigration law, and litigation
- Support project management efforts by organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and coordinating meetings or court dates
- Perform administrative tasks such as phone etiquette handling, transcription of legal proceedings or notes, proofreading documents for accuracy, and maintaining organized filing systems
- Paralegal experience or prior legal administrative experience in a busy law office environment
- Familiarity with legal research tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw; experience with document management systems like iManage is highly desirable
- Knowledge of various practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, tribal regulations, patent law, workers' compensation law, personal injury law, landlord-tenant issues, immigration law, and litigation procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail in proofreading and legal drafting
- Proficiency in data entry and document review processes; experience with PCLaw or similar legal billing software is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough legal research and compile comprehensive reports or summaries
- Exceptional clerical skills including filing systems management and phone etiquette; ability to handle confidential information discreetly
