Option 2: Regular 4 days/10 hours Swing Shift (Monday to Thursday 5:30 PM - 3:30 AM) $16.78 per hour
We are seeking an Operator to join a leading medical device manufacturer. This role is responsible for the production of high-quality medical devices within a manufacturing cell environment. The Operator will perform a combination of assembly, testing, and repair operations on pacemakers, implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs), leads, and related assemblies while ensuring compliance with all quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
Working under close supervision, the Operator will follow standardized procedures, maintain accurate documentation, and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assembly, testing, and repair operations on medical device components such as pacemakers and ICDs according to established procedures.
- Operate and monitor automated and semi-automated machinery (e.g., filler, wrapping equipment) and perform basic adjustments or repairs within validated processes.
- Identify equipment or process issues and effectively communicate findings to engineering or maintenance teams.
- Ensure Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Follow safety guidelines and use appropriate protective equipment at all times.
- Participate in continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives to optimize processes and meet quality and productivity metrics.
- Support divisional and departmental initiatives related to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with peers and supervisors, maintaining a positive and professional attitude in all internal and external interactions.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in medical device production.
- Experience operating mid-to-complex machinery and working with automation or HMI (Human-Machine Interface) systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Good computer literacy and ability to maintain electronic documentation.
- Effective communication skills—both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability, capable of addressing minor equipment issues before escalation.
- Strong teamwork orientation and willingness to learn in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).
- Understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
