Vice President of Finance - Healthcare Services | Private Organization
This is a senior leadership role reporting directly to the President, with full ownership of financial operations and meaningful influence on strategy, performance, and growth.

The Role
The VP of Finance will oversee all financial operations, ensure audit-ready compliance at all times, and serve as a key business partner to executive leadership. You’ll lead a sizeable finance team and play a central role in strengthening financial discipline, improving EBITDA, and preparing the organization for future growth initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Operations
- Full ownership of accounting, reporting, and documentation
- Lead month-end close, general ledger, and GAAP-compliant financial statements
- Manage audits and maintain continuous audit readiness
- Oversee the full revenue cycle, AR, AP, and large-scale payroll operations
- Manage multi-entity accounting structures (including nonprofit entities)
Cash Management & Banking
- Oversee cash flow forecasting and working capital optimization
- Manage bank relationships, debt reporting, and covenant compliance
- Coordinate owner distributions with executive leadership
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with healthcare and government-funded program requirements
- Oversee tax filings and regulatory reporting
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices
Budgeting & Performance
- Build and lead the annual budgeting process
- Deliver variance analysis and financial insights to leadership
- Identify and execute initiatives that improve profitability
- Partner with operations to address labor, overtime, and efficiency issues
Strategy & Leadership
- Provide financial insight to support executive decision-making
- Support long-term planning and potential strategic transactions
- Lead and develop a finance team of ~10–12 across accounting, payroll, AR, and AP
- Establish a culture of accountability, accuracy, and continuous improvement
Qualifications Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10 years of progressive finance/accounting experience
- 5 years in a senior leadership role (Controller, Director, VP)
- Deep GAAP knowledge and audit management experience
- Experience overseeing AR, AP, payroll, and revenue cycle
- Strong communication skills and team leadership background
Preferred
- CPA, MBA, or Master’s degree
- Healthcare services experience (home health, home care, or similar)
- Exposure to Medicaid/Medicare or government-funded programs
- Multi-entity and nonprofit accounting experience
- Experience supporting M&A, PE, or strategic transactions
- Familiarity with EOS or similar operating frameworks
Salary : $185,000 - $250,000
