Senior System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure across Windows Server, VMware, Azure, AWS, and Citrix environments, ensuring high availability, security, and operational performance.
• Manage infrastructure projects from planning through implementation, including system upgrades, patching, monitoring, capacity planning, and documentation while following architectural best practices.
• Provide Tier 3 support for critical infrastructure and back-office applications, troubleshoot complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and collaborate with Help Desk and engineering teams to resolve production incidents.
• Automate and optimize infrastructure operations through PowerShell scripting, monitoring, security enhancements, and continuous improvement initiatives across a global enterprise environment.

Requirements

• 10 years of enterprise infrastructure engineering experience, preferably within a financial services or trading environment, with expertise in Windows Server, VMware, Active Directory, Citrix, and Microsoft technologies.
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure and AWS cloud platforms, including IaaS/PaaS services, networking, identity management, storage, virtualization, and cloud security best practices.
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure technologies including Cisco UCS, Pure Storage, SCCM, Microsoft Defender, Intune, Office 365, vulnerability management, authentication protocols (SAML, Kerberos, MFA), and PowerShell automation.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and project management skills with the ability to support a global 24x7 environment; experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC), SQL Server, and Azure governance tools is a plus.
