What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Manager position at Atlas Search?
This role sits at the center of the firm's flagship fund, with direct exposure to fund accounting and financial reporting for a highly active investment vehicle. The team handles a high volume of transactions each quarter and manages all capital contributions and distributions in-house. Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation and review of fund-level financial statements, NAV calculations, and capital account statements
- Own the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close process
- Review and sign off on capital calls, distributions, and investor allocations
- Keep the fund compliant with partnership agreements, PPMs, and relevant accounting standards
- Serve as the point of contact for external auditors, tax preparers, and fund administrators on audits, K-1s, and regulatory filings
- Supervise and develop fund accounting staff, reviewing their work for accuracy
- Build out and refine internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation
- Jump into ad hoc projects, including system implementations and process improvements
Requirements:
- CPA required
- 5-8 years of experience preferably with public accounting and Fund Accounting Experience
Salary : $130,000 - $160,000
