Sr. Building Automation Integrator

As a Senior Building Automation Integrator at Atlas OT, you will design, program, and deliver integrated BAS solutions across commercial, industrial, and mission‑critical facilities. Your work will span HVAC, lighting, energy management, metering, access control integrations, and enterprise‑level building automation platforms. You’ll support the full project lifecycle—from submittals, instrumentation, panel design, sequence development to programming, graphics, commissioning, and turnover.In this role, you will help shape Atlas OT’s internal BAS standards across Niagara platforms like Tridium and Phoenix Contact, as well as Codesys and Ignition. You'll contribute to accurate project estimating, and lead the implementation of complex, multi‑system integrations involving BACnet, Modbus, KNX, MQTT, and IP‑based building networks. You’ll apply technical depth and field‑ready problem‑solving to support advanced controls strategies, system optimization, and high‑performance building outcomes.DutiesLead complex BAS projects integrating HVAC, lighting, metering, and third‑party systems across multiple platforms (Niagara, Distech, Honeywell, Siemens, etc.)Develop, maintain, and enforce internal programming, graphics, and commissioning standards for building automation systemsArchitect and validate secure BAS/OT network designs, including segmentation, firewalls, and alignment with IEC 62443 and modern cybersecurity practicesOversee technical quality by reviewing engineering packages, control drawings, sequences, and programming from Associate through Lead EngineersGuide teams in implementing optimized control strategies, energy‑efficient sequences, and high‑performance building operationCollaborate with Sales and Project Management to estimate project labor, materials, and integration complexityApprove technical deliverables including control submittals, points lists, sequences of operation, graphics packages, and final programmingLead efforts in system tuning, alarm reduction, analytics deployment, and continuous commissioning initiativesUphold and enhance quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with industry standards, owner requirements, and Atlas OT’s internal best practicesRequirementsSkills Mastery Expert‑level proficiency in BAS programming environments, including Niagara Framework, Distech EC‑Net, Honeywell, Siemens, Johnson Controls, Inductive Automation Ignition and other major OEM platformsExperience designing, reviewing, and troubleshooting control panels, including power distribution, terminal layouts, protection devices, and UL 508A/UL 916 complianceSkilled in field instrumentation, cable/conduit sizing, routing, labeling, and installation standards, with hands‑on experience performing point‑to‑point testing, loop checks, and commissioning of sensors, actuators, and control wiringDeep understanding of control logic development, including ASHRAE Guideline 36, advanced HVAC sequences, and enterprise‑level building automation strategiesProven ability to design and implement complex, multi‑vendor BAS architectures across campuses, high‑performance buildings, and mission‑critical facilitiesStrong working knowledge of UL 916, NEC, ASHRAE, ISA, and relevant IEC standards governing building automation, networking, and system safetySkilled in integrating BAS with enterprise systems, including metering platforms, energy dashboards, analytics engines, and cloud technologies (BACnet/SC, MQTT, REST APIs)Extensive experience designing and securing BAS/OT networks in alignment with IEC 62443 and modern cybersecurity best practicesExceptional attention to detail with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and field‑ready technical documentation, including points lists, sequences, and submittalsStrong competency in quality control, commissioning workflows, and cross‑disciplinary collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and IT teamsWork Experience(Preferred) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; advanced certifications preferred (ISA CAP, PE License, Niagara N4, LEED)Minimum of 12,000 project hours (8 years) delivering BAS solutions, including system architecture, programming, graphics, and multi‑site deploymentPrior experience developing and reviewing sequences of operation, control submittals, mechanical drawings, and integration packageDemonstrated ability to mentor junior engineers and technicians, contributing to a culture of continuous learning and technical excellenceMust hold a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to job sites, commissioning activities, and client facilitiesCompliance with drug‑free workplace requirementsBenefitsAtlas OT employees are the best, and as such get the best benefits.
