What are the responsibilities and job description for the Associate Veterinarian position at Atlas Consultancy Group?
An exciting opportunity has become available for an Associate Veterinarian to join a highly respected, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital that has been serving its community for more than three decades. This established practice has built an outstanding reputation for delivering exceptional medical care while maintaining a genuinely supportive and collaborative culture for its team.
This is an ideal role for an experienced veterinarian seeking a hospital where they can practice high-quality medicine with excellent clinical support. The hospital boasts an impressive LVT-to-doctor ratio of over 2:1, alongside a team of experienced veterinary assistants, allowing doctors to focus on diagnostics, treatment planning, and surgery rather than administrative tasks. The team is known for its collaborative approach, strong communication, and commitment to evidence-based medicine.
The facility itself is modern, spacious, and exceptionally well-equipped. Doctors have access to six exam rooms, a dedicated treatment area with multiple procedure stations, a two-table surgical suite, oxygen-supported ICU and recovery spaces, separate canine and feline wards, and an isolation ward. Advanced diagnostic capabilities include digital radiography, dental radiography, ultrasound, comprehensive in-house laboratory equipment, and support from leading veterinary diagnostic providers.
Clinically, the caseload offers excellent variety and professional fulfilment. In addition to routine wellness and preventative care, doctors regularly perform advanced soft tissue surgeries including GDVs, splenectomies, cystotomies, mass removals, and select orthopedic procedures such as extracapsular ACL and MPL repairs. The hospital also offers rehabilitation services, physical therapy, advanced dentistry, dental radiography, extractions, and oral surgery procedures.
The position offers an excellent work-life balance with shared weekend and holiday responsibilities, resulting in each doctor covering only one shift approximately every six weeks. Alongside a highly competitive compensation package, the hospital provides generous professional development support, sign-on assistance, relocation support, and industry-leading benefits.
