Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA/QC Technician to support large-scale data center construction projects in Barstow, TX. This role is heavily field-focused and plays a critical role in ensuring installations, equipment, and systems meet project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience within construction, electrical, or mission critical environments and possess strong attention to detail, communication skills, and the ability to identify and resolve quality-related issues in fast-paced project settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections and equipment audits to verify compliance with QA/QC standards, project specifications, and safety requirements
- Monitor construction and installation activities to ensure adherence to quality control processes and client expectations
- Prepare detailed inspection reports, maintain documentation, and track corrective actions and quality-related findings
- Work closely with site leadership and project teams to implement QA/QC procedures and process improvements
- Identify discrepancies, potential risks, and quality concerns while helping develop corrective solutions
- Support implementation of QA/QC program updates, inspection methods, and material handling procedures
- Ensure all QA/QC activities comply with safety and environmental standards
- Maintain regular communication with site management regarding inspections, project quality, and schedule risks
Qualifications
- Experience in QA/QC, inspections, construction, or mission critical/data center environments preferred
- Strong understanding of QA/QC processes, construction standards, and safety practices
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with field teams and management
- Experience with data center infrastructure systems including power, cooling, and electrical systems is a plus
- Familiarity with NEC, ISO standards, and quality management tools is preferred
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in QA/QC, construction inspection, electrical, or related environments
- Prior experience supporting large-scale construction projects is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform field inspections in active construction environments
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work onsite for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 50 pounds
