The Accounting Intern will gain practical, hands-on experience supporting accounts receivable and general accounting functions. This role assists with billing, account reconciliations, research, and administrative processes while learning core accounting operations in a fast-paced, professional environment. The position offers exposure to financial systems, reporting, and cross-departmental collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Assist with basic account reconciliations and review of financial transactions for accuracy
- Support billing processes, including preparing invoices and related correspondence
- Help research and resolve account discrepancies and payment issues
- Respond to internal and external inquiries in a professional manner
- Compile data, maintain records, and update electronic and hard-copy files
- Perform data entry and maintain organized financial documentation
- Generate reports and assist with tracking and summarizing financial information
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed
- Operate standard office equipment including scanning and copying documents
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to obtain and verify information
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial concepts
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
