Bakery- Gelato Maker (Swing)

Come join Team Atlantis! The Gelato Maker will be trained to make, decorate and garnish Gelatos for the Buffet, Gourmet Grind and Fine Dining restaurants. This will also include Winemakers Dinners and Holiday menus.

Responsibilities

• Must rotate the product First in First Out.
• Will turn on freezer cases in the morning.
• Deliver Gelato to Gourmet Grind and Buffet.
• Will make Bases for gelato.
• Will need to follow recipes and be familiar with sanitation practices.
• Take care of orders.
• Take inventory of their items and let their supervisors know if they need more purees, flavors or bases.
• Will need to help put stock away from warehouse and outside orders.
• Will also need to help in other areas if we get call ins, vacations etc.
• Other duties as assigned my management.
  
  

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel crouch or crawl; talk, and hear. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to focus.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to communicate and read English instructions, recipes and orders.
• Must be able to work weekends and Holidays.
• Physical Requirements:
• Comfortable working in a cold kitchen environment daily.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy pots, pans, and trays.
• Be able to lift 50 pounds safely.
• Be able to stand for long periods of the time.
• Must be able to move freely in confined spaces.
• Must adhere to all appearance standards, including but not limited to no "visible" tattoos/piercings or unnatural hair colors. ***
