Responsibilities
- Perform direct and indirect patient care tasks under licensed supervision.
- Assist patients with personal care needs and participate in the care plan.
- Regularly communicate observations and data to the appropriate caregivers.
- Collect test specimens as per procedures and document patient care activities.
- Maintain a friendly and prompt customer service attitude.
- Ensure the highest level of confidentiality and respect for patients.
- Work collaboratively as part of the care team to achieve patient goals.
- Assist other team members as needed to support team objectives.
- Adhere to established safety protocols and maintain a safe work environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English; bilingual preferred.
- BLSHCP certification within 6 months of hire.
- CPI training required within 1 year of hire or by 10/31/25 for existing employees.
- 1-3 years of patient care experience preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and interpersonal skills for effective communication.
- Ability to be flexible, set priorities, and make sound judgments.
- Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at hire; training will be provided.
- Physical abilities to perform essential functions, including lifting and transporting patients.
- Willingness to work in a hospital environment with potential hazards.
