What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Aide - Vascular Institute position at Atlantic Medical Imaging?
AMI is seeking a Full time Technical Aide to join the teams in the Somerdale and Vineland Vascular Institute locations!

The Vascular Institute - Technical Aide is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Circulates during procedures. Ensures memorization of products for procedures and the use of sterile technique
- Assists with sterile tray set-up
- Assists Technologists, Nurses, and Providers as needed
- Helps unpack products upon receipt
- Restocks products in the procedure rooms throughout the day
- Assists with room turnover and cleaning the room between procedures
- Assists Technologists with moving or relocating equipment
- Wears lead for procedures and wears hat and mask consistent with sterile technique when trays are open and during procedures
- Understands that this role may be exposed to blood or body fluids and that universal precautions will apply where appropriate
- Understands that this role has exposure in the clinical setting to patients with specific medical conditions or hygiene issues which may cause unpleasant odors
- Performs other duties as assigned
This full time, 40 hour per week position will provide coverage in the AMI Vascular Institute locations in Somerdale and Vineland.
The work schedule includes:
7am-5:30pm on weekdays, with a rotating day off during the week
No weekends
Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.
Qualifications:
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent. An American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required prior to the start of employment. This position functions within a procedural setting and candidates must be comfortable working around patients, wounds, blood, and bodily fluids.
This position requires standing for prolonged periods of time and lifting and moving heavy objects.
The ideal candidate demonstrates excellent organizational skills, has well developed customer service skills and maintains patient privacy at all times. Candidates must maintain attention to detail in all aspects of their work at all times and must be skilled in utilizing standard office equipment, including computers.
