AMI is seeking an IT Help Desk Technician to join the growing IT team & practice and provide coverage in the Galloway region of offices.
The IT Help Desk Support Technician will support users throughout the Practice, provide maintenance of the computer desktop environment by analyzing requirements, resolving problems, installing hardware and software solutions. AMI promotes a customer service oriented, team-centered environment.

The IT Help Desk Technician is responsible for, but not limited to:
- Performs Help Desk support;
- Identifies, diagnoses and resolves technical issues. Prioritizes work to identify and escalate problems and performs solutions tracking;
- Functions as first line support for all software including MS Office 365, Windows 7 & 10 and any upgrades to those versions in the future;
- Functions as first line support for all hardware, including but not limited to Dell PCs, CISCO and Dell Servers, Citrix, VMware and Corporate Print Solutions;
- Performs daily maintenance of network services (backups, administration, and hardware maintenance);
- Performs multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing work and resolving emergencies as they arise;
- General use of Active Directory; checks profiles and user account permissions and ensures all users are in the correct groups;
- Troubleshoots RIS/PACS and PS360;
- Completes setup, troubleshoots and updates of VOIP hosted phone system Auto Attendant, phone setup and PBX portal configuration;
- Supports printer and fax installation and troubleshoots issues;
- Assists in the coordination of field installations and upgrade initiatives, including the facilitation of systems upgrades, rollout of new hardware and field training;
- Builds PCs and Radiologist Workstations per AMI standards and replaced broken hardware;
- Develops working knowledge of clinical applications;
- Develops understanding of and completes backups on all AMI systems;
- Maintains understanding of Data Center, including physical layout;
- Maintains understanding of infrastructure and IP scheme for servers and switches;
- Maintains understanding of VMware AMI infrastructure and servers;
- Communicates appropriately with end users to educate and instruct on various software programs and hardware functions; and
- Any other duties as assigned.
This is a full-time, 40 hour per week position based in the AMI Galloway office location. This position requires travel to other AMI office locations based on business needs. The work schedule for this position is Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm, with an on-call rotation approximately every seven (7) to eight (8) weeks. Schedules are subject to change based on business needs.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation, with a high school diploma or equivalent; IT coursework, certifications, or college degree preferred. Qualified candidates have a working knowledge of IT hardware, software and basic network configuration and have work experience in the IT field. Candidates must be willing to learn new systems and programs and are able to adapt quickly to changing business needs.
The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong analytical skills and demonstrates initiative. Candidates must work well under pressure and with minimal supervision. Exceptional verbal and written communication as well as strong interpersonal skills are a must.
