What are the responsibilities and job description for the Staff Accountant position at Atlantic Group?
Our client, a reputable Alternative Asset Management firm, is currently seeking a temporary staff accountant for a period of several months.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for timely and accurate preparation of financial accounting data in a variety of areas. It is essential that this candidate brings analytical and organizational skills in order to best support the accounting team.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with the department heads to understand and ensure accuracy of all financial reporting activity
- Assist in preparation and distribution of financial statements
- Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules according to monthly close schedule
- Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable duties
- Assist with tax compliance and audit support as necessary
- Record monthly journal entries, accruals, and perform reconciliations
- ad hoc financial analytics and project work for accounting leadership
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Accounting, Economics, or Finance
- 1 - 5 years' experience in accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Salary : $30 - $40
