Job Overview – Payroll Associate

Compensation: $70,000 – $80,000/year bonus

Location: Boston, MA

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Atlantic Group is hiring a Payroll Associate in Boston, MA for our client, supporting multi-state payroll processing, payroll reconciliations, and financial reporting within a corporate finance environment. In this role, you will manage payroll operations, prepare general ledger entries, and ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements. You will utilize ADP Workforce Now, Workday, and advanced Excel to support payroll accuracy and reporting.

Responsibilities as the Payroll Analyst:

• Payroll Processing: Process multi-state payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees using ADP Workforce Now.
• Payroll Reconciliation: Prepare and reconcile payroll journal entries and accounts within the general ledger.
• Employee Support: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and compensation matters.
• Benefits & Deductions: Manage payroll-related deductions including benefits, 401k contributions, and other withholdings.
• Audit Support: Assist with payroll audits and provide documentation for internal and external reviews.
  
  

Qualifications for the Payroll Analyst:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is required.
• Experience: 3–5 years of payroll experience in a corporate environment is required.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of multi-state payroll processing, payroll compliance, and general ledger accounting is required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in ADP Workforce Now, Workday, and Microsoft Excel is required.
• Skills & Attributes: Demonstrates strong attention to detail, communication skills, organization, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
