Job Overview – Legal Assistant (Real Estate)
Compensation: $65,000 – $70,000/year
Location: Norristown, PA
Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)
Atlantic Group is hiring a Legal Assistant (Real Estate) to support a senior attorney within a growing legal practice. This role will provide hands-on legal and administrative support across a variety of commercial real estate, property-related, and regulatory matters within a fast-paced legal environment. The ideal candidate will bring strong legal assistant experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
Responsibilities as the Legal Assistant:
- Legal Administrative Support: Provide day-to-day administrative and legal support including document preparation, scheduling, filing, correspondence, and matter organization.
- Document Management: Prepare, revise, proofread, and manage legal documents, agreements, applications, and filings related to real estate and land use matters.
- Calendar & Deadline Coordination: Manage attorney calendars, track deadlines, coordinate meetings, and ensure timely completion of legal and administrative deliverables.
- Client & Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, municipalities, court personnel, and external stakeholders while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
- Matter Coordination: Support a variety of commercial real estate, land use, regulatory, and property-related legal matters within a fast-paced practice environment.
- Office & Operational Support: Maintain organized legal files, support billing and expense processes, and assist with general office and operational tasks as needed.
Qualifications for the Legal Assistant:
- Education: Associate’s degree, paralegal certificate, or related legal education is required.
- Experience: 5 years of legal assistant or legal administrative experience within a law firm or real estate legal environment is required.
- Industry Knowledge: Exposure to real estate law, land use, zoning, litigation support, municipal matters, or related legal practice areas is preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Outlook, and Excel is required, while experience with legal document management systems is preferred.
- Skills & Attributes: Strong organizational skills, professionalism, communication abilities, attention to detail, discretion, multitasking capabilities, and the ability to operate effectively within a high-volume legal practice are required.
