The Atlantic Group has partnered with an investment management firm in the Greenwich, CT area. They have an immediate need for a Fund Controller to start as soon as possible. This position is a full-time contract role with the opportunity to become permanent based on performance.
Summary: A leading investment management firm specializing in private credit and collateralized loan obligations (CLOs) is seeking an experienced Fund Controller for a temporary assignment supporting a maternity leave. The assignment is expected to last at least several months, with potential for extension.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Fund Controller or Fund Manager with direct private credit experience to join a specialized investment management environment and work closely with the fund administration and finance teams.
Work Schedule: 5 days a week in the office
Responsibilities
-Review and analyze NAV packages and financial statements prepared by third-party fund administrators
-Review fund accounting activity and ensure accuracy and completeness of financial reporting
-Perform detailed analysis and reconciliation of fund financial information
-Partner with fund administrators and internal teams to resolve discrepancies and accounting issues
-Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
-Review financial statements and supporting schedules for accuracy
-Assist with fund-level reporting and ad hoc financial analysis
-Identify opportunities to improve processes through automation and technology
-Utilize Power BI and other reporting tools to enhance financial analysis and reporting
-Leverage advanced Excel skills to analyze and manipulate large financial datasets
Qualifications
-5 years of relevant fund accounting, fund management, or fund controller experience
-Direct private credit experience required
-Experience working with CLOs, private credit funds, or alternative investments highly valued
-Strong understanding of fund accounting and financial reporting
-Hands-on experience reviewing NAV packages and financial statements prepared by fund administrators
-Advanced Excel skills
-Experience with Power BI strongly preferred
-Experience with automation, process improvement, or financial technology preferred
