The Atlantic Group has partnered with a large medical center in the Tarrytown, NY area. They have an immediate need for a Medical Insurance Collector to join their team. This position is a full-time contract role with the opportunity to become permanent based on performance.
Job Description:
Seeking a self-motivated, people-friendly full time Medical Insurance Collector for our Corporate office location located in Tarrytown, NY.
Responsibilities
• Follow-up on patient accounts to assure claims for patient charges submitted to insurance companies are paid in a timely fashion.
• Processing appeals
• Analyze and research denials
• Process Refunds
Job Requirements
• Previous experience in a medical industry is required
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 coding requirements
• Payment posting experience a plus
• Knowledge of NextGen a plus
• Understanding of EOB's, & refunds
• Must have the ability to maintain confidential information
• Must have the ability to multitask and take initiative
• Must have the ability to act in a professional manner and diffuse any negative situations
• CPC is a plus
