As our business continues to grow, we're seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable & Collections Associate to join our team. As an AR/Collections Associate, you’ll play an important role within the accounting department, handling daily AR reconciliation, collections, and general accounting support in alignment with established procedures.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily Accounts Receivable reconciliation and maintain accurate AR records
- Setting up new customers and vendors
- Running reports
- Collecting sales & use certificates
- Execute collection activities and monitor past-due balances
- Track outstanding accounts and follow up with customers as needed
- Identify, investigate, and resolve account discrepancies
- Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal stakeholders regarding collection and billing matters
- Maintain organized documentation and ensure timely updates to financial records
- Assist with general accounting and administrative tasks as assigned
- Support other team members and contribute to department efficiency
Qualifications and Skills
- 5–7 years of experience in Accounts Receivable, collections, or related accounting functions
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, financial data entry, and Microsoft Office (including Outlook)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service orientation, with the ability to handle sensitive collection conversations professionally
- Quick learner with solid computer and organizational skills
- Team-oriented mindset with the willingness to assist wherever needed
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
Compensation and Benefits
Hourly wage: $20.00-$25.00 depending on experience
