Position Summary:
The Inventory Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and efficiency of ACC’s inventory management system. This position encompasses oversight of all materials, including customer-owned and ACC-purchased raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. By maintaining system health and collaborating across departments, the Inventory Associate helps drive operational excellence, minimize stockouts, and support seamless production and customer service.
Responsibilities:
Shipping & Logistics:
- Generate shipping documentation (BoLs, packing slips, proformas) for outbound customer shipments in ERP.
- Verify accuracy of shipping details, including customer purchase orders, quantities, and part numbers.
- Coordinate with stakeholders—including Quality, Sales, Production, Warehouse, and Finance—to ensure smooth order fulfillment and logistics.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain awareness of all incoming products, including customerowned materials, against lot and part number requirements.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proactive reporting, cycle counting, and system monitoring.
- Dedicate approximately 50% of working time to daily cycle counts and inventory validations to safeguard system accuracy.
- Continuously review and refine department policies and procedures related to inventory and materials management.
- Draft revisions and collaborate with management to implement updates.
Other:
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support business needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in inventory, supply chain, or materials management preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with order entry, inventory, and shipping modules preferred).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills across departments and with external vendors.
- Ability to problemsolve and adapt in a fastpaced, dynamic environment.
Physical Requirements
- Walking and standing for prolonged periods, totaling 8 hours per shift.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and/or move 2150 pounds.
- Occasionally lift over 50 pounds with appropriate mechanical or team assistance.
- Frequent bending, carrying, reaching above shoulder height, twisting, grasping, and balancing.
- Occasional kneeling and other physical movements necessary to complete production and packaging tasks.
- Frequent exposure (810 hours per shift) to heat, humidity, and airborne dust/particles associated with manufacturing operations
