Job Outline:
The Plant Sanitation Specialist is a highly critical position responsible for the sanitation and cleanliness of the plant. Assigned personnel will conduct various task to maintain cleanliness of the plant and will ensure a clean and safe environment. The Plant Sanitation Specialist must maintain ongoing knowledge of company policies, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Responsibilities:
Perform all work in a safe manner.
Maintain clean and safe environment.
Clean floors, walls, structures, and other areas of the facilities as directed.
Remove and dispose of trash, pallets, scrap product, containers, and boxes as directed.
Maintain sanitation documentation and records.
Inventory maintenance for supplies and equipment.
Inform supervisor or assigned personnel supply need.
Follow all company sanitation standards for cleaning equipment and facility.
Adhere to applicable cGMP regulations and standards while conducting work impacting GMP areas and documentation.
Work safely with the chemicals used for cleaning.
Must have ability to make effective use of your time.
Maintain, conduct, and uphold audit readiness at all times.
Must follow company food safety, operational, and food defense program.
Complete annual food defense training and ensure food safety practices when entering production areas.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with minimal supervision
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
Ability to work extended periods of standing, walking, bending, twisting, and lifting in safe manner
Previous sanitation experience preferred
Requirements:
This position is active and requires sitting, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching all day. The assigned personnel must frequently lift and/or move up to 15 pounds. While performing to assigned job, the employee is required to speak, see, and hear clearly.
