Job Overview

We are looking for a creative Floral Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical floral skills, leadership qualities, and experience working in a fast-paced flower shop environment.

We are looking for someone who can support day-to-day operations year-round and provide additional support during busy holiday seasons such as Valentine’s Day and Mother’s Day.

The ideal candidate is highly reliable, detail-oriented, confident in daily floral production, and passionate about creating beautiful arrangements while helping guide and support junior designers.

Position Details

• Position: Floral Designer
• Job Type: Full-time
• Employment Type: W-2 employee only
• Pay: $15–$20 per hour (depending on experience and skill level)
• Growth Opportunity: Performance and compensation review after 6 months
• Schedule: Consistent weekly hours with increased availability expected during major floral holidays and busy seasons.
• Location: Orlando area, Florida

Responsibilities

• Design and create high-quality floral arrangements, bouquets, sympathy work, and event pieces.
• Handle daily floral production efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Work with wire service orders and maintain quality and timing standards.
• Collaborate with the team to maintain a consistent design style and customer experience.
• Assist with flower processing, inventory awareness, and maintaining a clean workspace.
• Stay updated on floral trends, seasonal products, and design techniques.
• Help ensure smooth day-to-day shop operations.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of professional floral design experience.
• Strong knowledge of flowers, plants, color composition, and floral techniques.
• Experience working with wire services in daily operations.
• Ability to create both everyday and higher-end floral arrangements efficiently.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Fluent English communication skills required.
• Leadership mindset with willingness to mentor junior designers.
• Ability to work under pressure during holidays and busy production periods.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift floral supplies as needed.
• Reliable transportation preferred.
