Worcester Rehabilitation & Health Care Center is looking for a fun and creative Activities Director to join our team!
This is a department head role reporting directly to the Administrator and is responsible for the overall operations of the recreation department. Worcester Rehab is a 146-bed skilled nursing facility with a large SUDS population. Salaried position with weekly pay ranging from $32 to $35 an hour.

Education & Experience:
- Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Have at least one (1) year experience or training in directing group activity.
- Experience in a supervisory capacity in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Oversees the activities department, including scheduling events and activities that interest and engage residents.
- Manage the hiring, onboarding, training, and daily tasks of the activities assistants.
- Order supplies.
- Connect with residents to generate programming ideas that tailor to their interests.
- Work with vendors, including performers, to schedule visits to the facility.
- Encourage residents to take part in activities that stimulate his/her potential, physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.
- Assist with and follow through on the establishment of resident care goals within the framework of the entire therapeutic team.
- Other duties as assigned by the administrator and regional support team.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Must possess leadership ability and willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise professional and non-professional personnel.
