Job Summary:
Athena Home Health & Hospice is seeking a compassionate and skilled Hospice CNA to join our team in the Torrington area. As a Hospice CNA, you will provide personalized care and support to patients in their homes, promoting comfort, dignity, and quality of life. This is a full-time position with weekly pay and competitive benefits. $22.25 an hour.
Candidate must have an active driver's license and an insured and reliable vehicle. Must be willing to travel throughout the area.
Responsibilities:
Provide personal care services to patients, including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
Assist with ambulation, exercise, and transfers as instructed by the hospice nurse or therapist
Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the Case Manager
Assist with self-administered medications, as allowed by state regulations
Maintain patient's living area clean and orderly
Provide emotional support and positive communication techniques to patients and families
Requirements:
Must hold an active and unencumbered Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Connecticut
At least one year of CNA experience required
High school diploma or equivalent required
