Lanessa Extended Care in Webster is hiring fun and creative Activities Assistants to join our recreation team!
32 hours and 24 hours available on 8a-4p shift at $16 an hour. Weekly pay. We are a skilled nursing facility.
You'll assist the recreation department with the programming, events, and activities we do to entertain our residents and provide them with an enriching life.

Experience & Education:
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- As a minimum, one (1) year experience in an Activities Department in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility or other related medical facility is preferred.
- We can train the right candidate!
- Organize the events and activities for residents, such as BINGO, arts and crafts, playing games, setting up parties, etc.
- Build close relationships with the residents.
- Come up with ideas for activities and events inspired by the likes and interests of the residents.
- Help coordinate and organize staff recognition events.
- Encourage residents to take part in activities of daily living that will stimulate his/her potential, physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.
- Document and report to the nursing department any unusual or significant findings.
- Report all reportable events immediately in accordance with our policy.
- Assist with and follow through on the establishment of resident care goals within the framework of the entire therapeutic team.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public.
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm, as well as be willing to handle residents based on whatever maturity level at which they are currently functioning.
