Position Summary
We are seeking a Material Handler to join our warehouse team. This role is responsible for accurately selecting, handling, and preparing products for distribution. You will pick items from warehouse storage locations and build customer orders on pallets to ensure timely and precise deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
Order Picking
- Select cases, bags, or individual items from designated warehouse locations.
- Utilize pick tickets, handheld scanners, or other warehouse systems to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
- Build stable and organized pallets for distribution.
- Arrange products according to handling requirements (e.g., heavier items on the bottom, fragile items on top).
- Verify product codes, descriptions, lot numbers, and quantities for accuracy.
- Maintain attention to detail while preparing orders for shipment.
- Perform order filling, pallet wrapping, and put-away processes using RF scanners.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse.
- Participate in department goal-setting, staff meetings, and training seminars as assigned.
- Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency.
- Work collaboratively with team members to complete assigned duties.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
- Excellent verbal, written, and listening communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to provide high-quality customer service to internal and external customers.
- Strong collaborative and teamwork skills.
- Ability to analyze situations and make appropriate decisions.
- Understanding and adherence to warehouse duties, methods, and procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Comfortable communicating to both small and large groups.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
- High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.
- RF or Voice Scanner experience
- Riding Pallet Jack evolving to Stacker
- Lift up to 75lbs
