Job Description
ATC Healthcare of Arizona is seeking a skilled and dependable Surgical Technologist for an assignment in West Prescott, Arizona. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced surgical environment and is committed to maintaining the highest standards of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies
- Assist surgeons and surgical team members during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control and safety protocols
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team throughout procedures
- Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and draping
- Perform surgical counts and assist with room turnover
- Document and report any breaks in sterile technique or equipment issues
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- Current CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification
- Active Arizona license or ability to obtain prior to assignment start
- Minimum of 1 year recent surgical tech experience
- BLS certification (AHA preferred)
- Strong knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Schedule & Assignment Details
- Full-time contract assignment
- Day shift (exact schedule may vary)
- Start date: ASAP
- Length of assignment: 13 weeks (with possible extension)
