Phlebotomist
Location: Las Vegas (Single Lab Location)
Compensation: $22/hour
Job Type: Contract (M-F)
Position Overview
ATC Healthcare is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Phlebotomist to support a diagnostic lab in Las Vegas.
This is a contract role at a single diagnostic clinic with a set Mon-Fri schedule, and potential to expand into additional hours.
Important: This is not a training position. Applicants must already possess strong phlebotomy and blood processing skills and be able to work independently from day one.

Qualifications
Education
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
PLUS one of the following:
-
Completion of a NAACLS-approved phlebotomy program
-
Structured phlebotomy training program
-
Two years on-the-job phlebotomy training (per client standards)

Licensure
-
Nevada state certification and/or ASCP (as required)
Experience (Required – no exceptions)

Minimum of 2 years phlebotomy experience in a clinical setting
- Experience with NextGen or similar EMR systems for documentation
Skills Requirement

Must be an independent professional — able to step in without relying on training

Ability to adjust immediately in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic environment

Must know how to:

Draw blood confidently
-
Process blood specimens accurately

Centrifuge (spin down) samples
-
Pour off serum/plasma correctly

Freeze and prepare specimens for Quest/LabCorp pickup

Strong knowledge of lab protocols and chain-of-custody procedures

Professional, compassionate patient communication skills
Credentials
-
Must meet all health screening, background check, and immunization requirements
Key Responsibilities

Perform high-quality venipuncture and capillary blood draws

Accurately process and prepare specimens with no room for error

Document notes and orders in NextGen EMR system
-
Maintain precise chain-of-custody for all lab specimens
-
Adapt quickly to clinic volume and scheduling demands
-
Uphold HIPAA, infection control, and safety standards
Work Environment
- Very busy, fast-paced setting with direct patient contact

Must be dependable, professional, and polished in presentation
