About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager to join a growing U.S.-based CPA firm. This role is ideal for a tax professional who combines strong technical expertise with excellent client communication skills and enjoys taking ownership of complex tax engagements.
The Senior Tax Manager will oversee tax return reviews, provide strategic client guidance, identify planning opportunities, and collaborate with the tax team to deliver accurate, timely, and high-quality tax services.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform final reviews of individual, partnership, S Corporation, corporation, and business tax returns for accuracy and compliance
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for assigned clients
- Communicate complex tax matters clearly and provide proactive guidance
- Identify tax planning opportunities and potential areas of risk
- Collaborate with Tax Seniors and team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely filings
- Conduct tax research and resolve complex tax issues when needed
- Review workpapers and supporting documentation for completeness and accuracy
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation within firm systems
- Stay current on federal and state tax law changes and communicate updates to the team
- Support process improvements that enhance client service and internal efficiency
Qualifications
- 4 years of public accounting tax preparation and tax review experience
- Strong experience reviewing individual and business tax returns
- CPA, EA, or other relevant tax certification preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax regulations
- Experience using professional tax preparation and accounting software
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple engagements while meeting deadlines
- Strong attention to detail with a client-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently in a fully remote environment
