Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Director of Litigation to lead and manage the litigation department of a growing personal injury law firm in Phoenix, Arizona.
The ideal candidate must have a strong background in plaintiff-side personal injury litigation, trial experience, and proven leadership skills. This individual will oversee attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff while ensuring cases are handled efficiently and successfully.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the personal injury litigation department.
- Supervise, train, and mentor attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff.
- Oversee personal injury cases from litigation through settlement or trial.
- Develop case strategies and guide attorneys through complex litigation matters.
- Oversee discovery, depositions, motions, mediations, and trial preparation.
- Monitor caseloads, deadlines, and team performance.
- Ensure cases are moving forward efficiently and meeting firm standards.
- Work closely with firm leadership to improve operations and support growth.
- Assist with hiring, training, and developing litigation team members.
- Handle high-value and complex personal injury cases as needed.
Qualifications
- Active Nevada Bar license required.
- 8 years of litigation experience, including plaintiff-side personal injury.
- Proven leadership experience managing attorneys and legal staff.
- Strong knowledge of Nevada personal injury law and litigation procedures.
- Experience with depositions, discovery, motions, settlements, and trial preparation.
- Trial experience strongly preferred.
- Experience handling catastrophic injury, wrongful death, and complex PI cases is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to lead a team, manage multiple cases, and meet deadlines.

- Strong personal injury litigation and trial background.
