Astro Coffee is excited to announce that we’re hiring for our Mobile Coffee Event Lead Program for the 2026 season.
This role is designed for individuals who want to grow into an Event Lead position and potentially into a year-round role with our company.
All team members begin in a Barista training position, and based on performance, reliability, leadership, and execution, select team members will be promoted to Event Lead as quickly as possible.
Training begins ASAP, with promotion decisions and Lead assignments made in April ahead of our busy season.
Compensation & Growth Path
Barista Training Period (Part-Time)
$15.00/hour
Event Lead Role (after promotion)
Starting at $20/hour tip pool
Typical Lead earnings average:
$25–$32/hour total compensation
(including tips averaging $5–$12/hour)
If your goal is to grow into a leadership role, this position is designed for that path.
We train all candidates as baristas first and promote based on real-world performance, reliability, leadership, and event execution.
About Astro Coffee
Astro Coffee is a mobile coffee company serving events throughout Colorado. We specialize in coffee catering for corporate events, weddings, festivals, farmers markets, and community gatherings.
Because we are mobile, travel and commuting are a significant part of this role.
Team members typically start and end shifts at our warehouse in Golden, where units are stocked, prepped, and cleaned. On some days, staff may meet directly onsite at events, depending on logistics.
We currently operate five mobile coffee units:
- Coffee vans
- Coffee trailers
- Mobile coffee carts
Team members are trained to operate all units. Flexibility is key — you will not be assigned to just one setup.
This role is intentionally structured to prepare you for an Event Lead position, where you’ll be responsible for:
- Driving mobile coffee units to events
- Managing prep and restocking
- Overseeing service operations
- Leading event teams
- Representing the Astro Coffee brand onsite
Season & Availability Expectations
Training: Begins ASAP
Peak Season: April – October 2026
Availability requirements:
- Thursday–Sunday availability REQUIRED
- Weekday availability is a plus
- Weekend hours can be long depending on event size
- Travel throughout Colorado is required
Some events may be out of town.
For overnight events we provide:
- Covered accommodations
- Food stipend
If you have significant travel planned during peak season, this may not be the right fit. We’re looking for team members ready to commit during our busiest months and grow with the company.
