Key Responsibilities
- Design, plan, and execute experiments independently to meet defined scientific objectives.
- Develop, optimize, and validate new assays with minimal supervision.
- Culture cell lines and process primary tissues from various species.
- Collaborate with supervisors to implement innovative assays in biomarker discovery.
- Apply molecular biology techniques to study drug candidate mechanisms of action.
- Manage laboratory supplies to ensure uninterrupted research activities.
- Analyze, interpret, and report data in a timely and accurate manner.
- Support multiple projects simultaneously in a highly matrixed team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific discipline with 3 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree (or equivalent experience).
- Strong hands-on experience with cell culture, including both established cell lines and primary immune cells.
- Proficiency in molecular biology techniques such as qPCR and nucleic acid extraction from tissues and cells.
- Experience with laboratory technologies/instrumentation including QuantStudio 12K Flex, MSD, ProteinSimple WES, Qubit, Nanodrop, 10X Genomics, BioMek i7, Agilent Tapestation, and Illumina sequencing platforms.
- Ability to independently design, execute, troubleshoot, and interpret complex experiments.
- Skilled in assay development, optimization, and validation.
- Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
- Competence in maintaining lab equipment and managing laboratory consumables.
