Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Histotechnician to support laboratory operations through high-quality tissue preparation and staining techniques. This role is critical in ensuring accurate sample processing and supporting pathologists and research teams in a fast-paced lab environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform tissue fixation, processing, and embedding of biological specimens
• Section tissue using microtomy techniques to produce high-quality slides
• Conduct routine staining, special stains, and IHC/IF procedures
• Perform whole slide imaging and scanning
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper functionality
• Follow quality control procedures and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with pathologists and research scientists on ongoing projects
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with microtomy
• Experience with FFPE tissue block sectioning
• Associate degree in Histotechnology or a related field
• ASCP certification as Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL), or eligibility to obtain certification
• Proficiency in tissue processing, embedding, microtomy, and staining techniques
