Analytical Development Scientist

Our client is an innovative biopharmaceutical organization is seeking a highly motivated Analytical Development Scientist to support the biological development of vaccines, therapeutics, and related products.

Located in St. Joseph, MO

Flexible working hours between 6am and 6pm

Contract position

Pay: $30-35/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in digital data processing, retrieval, and transfer to enable efficient analysis across CMC Development functions.
• Collaborate with BioProcess and Formulations groups to integrate analytical workflows based on project needs.
• Support non-routine experimental execution with oversight from senior scientists.
• Ensure accurate documentation in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP) and regulatory standards.
• Maintain lab cleanliness, safety, and operational readiness.
• Perform basic data analysis, assist in troubleshooting, and contribute to report generation.
• Develop working relationships with internal teams including Process Development, Clinical Analytics, and Global MSAT.
  
  

Qualifications

• Education:
• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related scientific discipline with at least 2 years of relevant experience
• OR Master’s degree in Data Analytics, Bioinformatics, or related computational discipline
  

Preferred Experience & Skills

• General knowledge of bioanalytical methods
• Exposure to computer science applications in pharma/biotech settings
• Familiarity with programming and data tools such as:
• Languages: Python, R, Rust, Swift, C#, SQL, Javascript, NoSQL
• Software/Tools: OSIsoft PI, SIMCA, JMP, Visual Studio, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Grafana, RedHat OpenShift, ETL systems, and Kubernetes
