Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical (Med-Surg)
Up to $20,000 Sign-On Bonus
Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg) team. In this role, you will provide direct patient care to a diverse population, supporting recovery and promoting positive outcomes in a fast-paced acute care environment.
Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
- Provide safe, effective nursing care to Med-Surg patients with a variety of medical conditions
- Perform patient interventions accurately and demonstrate age-specific competency
- Monitor patient condition and respond to changes appropriately
- Provide care and support in emergency situations as needed
- Verify physician orders for accuracy, including medications, procedures, and treatments
- Ensure proper scheduling of tests, procedures, and completion of consent forms
- Administer medications and IV therapy in accordance with hospital policies
- Monitor for adverse reactions and report any medication interactions or complications
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes
- Perform additional duties as assigned
QualificationsRequired
- Education: Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Licensure: Active South Carolina RN License or Compact RN License
- If licensed in another Compact state, must obtain a Multi-State License in the state of residence within 30 days if applicable
- Certifications:
- BLS (American Heart Association) required within 7 days of hire
- Basic Cardiac Rhythms required within orientation period
- Experience: Previous clinical experience will be evaluated
Preferred
- One (1) year of Med-Surg or acute care RN experience
- Experience with high patient volume and fast-paced environments
Compensation & Benefits
- $38 – $53/hour (based on 36 hrs/week equivalent)
- Up to $20,000 sign-on bonus
