Responsibilities
- Prepare sales and use, income, and property tax returns for jurisdictions throughout the United States.
- Analyze and research transactions to determine the correct tax treatment.
- Respond to and resolve jurisdictional inquiries and correspondence.
- Perform tax account reconciliations and resolve any exceptions.
- Provide customer service to support branch operations.
- Participate in team trainings to further develop tax technical and interpersonal skills.
- 2-4 years of tax experience; accounting experience is a plus.
- Experience in a complex, multistate tax environment preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Experience with sales and use tax compliance in a multistate environment.
- Experience with federal, state, income, and franchise tax preferred.
- Longevity in tenure with past employers.
- Experience with CCH software.
- Understanding of multistate tax processes.
