Responsibilities
- Manage and execute the full month-end close process, ensuring all deadlines are met and financial information is accurate and complete.
- Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial data related to manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate cost and inventory accounting.
- Use Excel to compile, analyze, and present financial data, including reports, schedules, and supporting documentation.
- Work within an ERP system to record, track, and report financial transactions in accordance with company policies.
- Collaborate with colleagues across finance and operations to resolve discrepancies and improve financial processes.
- Support internal and external reporting by providing accurate financial information and documentation as needed.
- Contribute to a positive team culture by communicating clearly, acting professionally, and supporting continuous improvement in accounting practices.
- Proven accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and month-end close processes.
- Proficiency in Excel for financial analysis, reporting, and data management.
- Hands-on experience working with an ERP system for financial transactions and reporting.
- Ability to work accurately with financial data and maintain strong attention to detail.
- Mature, professional, and personable demeanor that fits well within a collaborative team.
- Experience preparing and reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Background in cost or inventory accounting within manufacturing is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in an accounting context.
