The analyst supports efficient production by ensuring materials, staffing, and documentation are accurate, timely, and compliant with applicable standards and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within and between departments according to the production schedule.
- Review and distribute production schedules, work orders, and shipment schedules to ensure timely and accurate execution.
- Examine documents, materials, and products and monitor work processes to assess completeness, accuracy, and conformance to standards and specifications.
- Review staffing tables and related documentation to determine personnel requirements and material priorities.
- Record and maintain detailed production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.
- Requisition and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
- Compile and prepare reports on inventory levels, costs, and other logistics-related metrics.
- Accurately document and record customer and client information in the appropriate systems.
- Apply knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production when performing daily tasks.
- Use Microsoft Excel and other computer applications to analyze data, format reports, and support technical aspects of logistics planning.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in all documentation and data entry.
- Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and propose practical solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal departments and external partners.
- Ability to analyze costs related to manufacturing, labor, and materials.
- Ability to accurately document and record customer and client information.
- Knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to shipping and production.
- Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience using Microsoft Excel with formulas and formatting in a technical or analytical role.
- High school diploma or GED.
- 2–4 years of related experience in logistics, production planning, or a similar field.
- Experience working with production schedules, work orders, and inventory management.
- International transportation experience, which is a bonus and supports understanding of logistics outputs.
- Ability to work with quality control data and production metrics.
- Comfort working with data-driven reports and operational performance metrics.
