Job Description
We are seeking a Junior Cost Analyst who will be responsible for reviewing process orders for completeness and accuracy, analyzing inventory movements, and recommending master data changes based on variance analysis. Responsibilities
- Review process orders for completeness and accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Analyze and monitor inventory movements.
- Verify corrective actions on process orders.
- Recommend master data changes based on process order variance analysis.
- Audit BOM and recipe master data.
- Recommend process improvements based on the review of process order variances.
- Identify inventory movement errors and suggest corrective actions.
- Assist in reviewing the annual production volume budget.
- Support Continuous Improvement (CI) activities by reporting internal plant activities.
- Provide ad-hoc reporting as needed.
- Demonstrate commitment to safety for personal and colleagues.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Controller, Operations Controller.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in accounting or equivalent.
- Proven experience in tracking discrepancies or variances.
- Basic Excel experience (willingness to train on specific formulas).
- Experience with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Ability to interpret and apply company policies, maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Cost analysis and inventory management preferred.
- SAP experience is a plus.
- Experience with inventory/manufacturing is a plus.
- Proven success in finding and resolving discrepancies.
- Experience using basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in various units of measure).
- Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
- Proven background of taking initiative and seeking increased responsibilities.
