The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $100000.00/yr.

Job Description
A global leader in life sciences is seeking a Cost Accountant/Analyst to join their team. This role provides timely, accurate financial insights to support data-driven decision-making and optimize spending across support functions. The cost accountant will provide financial review and analytical support across designated business units or functional areas. This role is critical in delivering timely, accurate financial insights to support data-driven decision-making and strategic planning.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary financial partner for operations, evaluating the cost impact of changes in manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with the Supply Chain to analyze inventory variances and develop strategies to meet financial targets.
- Support monthly financial reviews, including variance analysis and performance reporting.
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and periodic financial projections.
- Provide financial support for daily operations and ad hoc business initiatives.
- Maintain and enhance financial systems used for reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Support the evaluation and management of capital expenditure projects.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and perform special assignments as needed.
- Proficiency in cost accounting and financial analysis.
- Advanced skills in Excel, including Vlookup and Pivot Tables.
- Experience with large ERP systems such as Oracle, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial modeling.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 4 years of experience in finance or accounting, including cost accounting.
- Minimum of 2 years working in a manufacturing environment.
- CMA is highly preferred.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
