Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. Responsibilities
- Accurately record day-to-day financial transactions, including sales, purchases, and expenses, in the general ledger.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and sales tax on a monthly basis.
- Handle bi-weekly payroll, monitor timesheets, and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Prepare, analyze, and maintain accurate financial statements, such as income statements and balance sheets.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations.
- Collaborate with accountants to prepare for tax season and audits.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage.
- Experience in general ledger, reconciliation, and cash flow management.
- Strong skills in Excel and attention to detail in data entry.
- 2 years of full-cycle accounting experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is strongly preferred (3-5 years of experience in accounting if no degree).
- Experience in the construction industry is highly preferred.
