Molding Technician II

Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to Assist Engineering Staff in daily operations and support molding operations. 

Position Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Machine/ Aux equipment Checks 10%
• PMs 25%
• Quality Check. 5%
• Reporting scrap and quality defects. 5%
• Mold change. 30%
• Mold processing. 5%
• Continuous improvement. 10%
• Other Duties as Assigned. 10%

• Proven ability to make sound business decisions, exercise good judgment, and be highly motivated. 
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of organization needed. 
• Complete General Production Support.

• Receive raw resin deliveries

• Troubleshoot Molding Issues

• Set and pull Injection Molds

• Startup and Shutdown Machines

• Document scrap material in Glovia

• Complete documentation and reports as necessary.

• MRO ordering/supplies

• Daily part inspection

• 6S

• Train TA on molding practices

• Maintain Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) activities.

• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, and Skills):

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent 
• Minimum of 1-year related work experience 
• Strong proven technical aptitude
• Knowledge of Injection molding
• Knowledge of computer systems and spreadsheet to perform job duties

Preferred Qualifications: 

•  2-year degree in Technical Discipline is preferred or equivalent education and work-related experience.

Supervisory Responsibilities: 

• Will not supervise associates

Software: 

Essential to Job Functions - Physical and/or Mental Restrictions: 

• Ability to work for long periods of time while sitting and standing.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Visual ability to work accurately with detailed information and a computer screen.

Work Environment - Travel, Noise, Smells, Quiet, Indoors or Outdoors, etc. 

• Factory setting with noise 
• No travel
