Design PR Intern
Our PR team is looking to add a Design PR Intern to our growing team. As a Design PR intern, you will be an integral part in assisting our Global Marketing & Communications team. This internship will give you the opportunity to work in cross-functional, collaborative teams and alongside our PR team on book and brand promotion strategies for international countries.
This position would be ideal for a recent graduate looking for design and/or public relations opportunities at a company that is rapidly expanding.
Responsibilities:
- Consistently monitor editorial project tracking documents to stay updated on book timelines, gather updates on various editorial initiatives, update the PR team internal documents, and prioritize PR design tasks accordingly
- Attend weekly PR meetings to update the team on editorial projects’ progresses and PR design tasks
- Communicate with internal teams (editors, book designers, photo editors, etc) to gather assets to create brand press kits, and get approvals on final documents
- Design multiple press kits on InDesign for various projects (books, boutiques openings, new collections, etc), working on many projects simultaneously and tracking toward specific deadlines
- Monitor international press activity, clip articles on InDesign and digitally file
- Dispatch and track US press samples
- Assist with organizing and updating databases
- Assist in daily projects (research, organizing, and compiling reports)
Requirements:
- Strong knowledge and experience in utilizing InDesign
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (Design, Communications or Marketing)
- Previous public relations/marketing/design internship experience preferred
- Interest in culture, art, and fashion
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention to detail
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience in utilizing Excel, and Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Word and Excel
