About the Role
We’re looking for a highly conceptual and execution-driven Art Director to lead the visual direction of integrated (360°) marketing campaigns. This role sits at the intersection of brand storytelling, product marketing, and digital innovation—bringing ideas to life across channels including social, digital, paid media, and owned platforms.
You’ll partner closely with cross-functional teams to create compelling, cohesive campaigns that resonate with our audience and drive measurable impact.
This is a full-time, in-office position (5 days per week) based in our NYC office. The ideal candidate must present a portfolio demonstrating significant 360 marketing experience, including digital and physical campaigns.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead 360° Campaign Development - Concept and execute fully integrated marketing campaigns across digital, social, product marketing, email, web, and paid media channels.
- Own Visual Direction & Brand Expression- Translate brand strategy into strong, distinctive visual systems that are consistent yet adaptable across touchpoints.
- Collaborate Cross-Functionally- Partner with product marketing, growth, content, and brand teams to develop creative that supports launches, seasonal moments, and ongoing engagement.
- Drive Social & Digital Innovation- Develop platform-native creative for social channels (organic and paid), staying ahead of trends while maintaining brand integrity.
- Product Marketing Creative- Develop campaigns that highlight Assouline’s books and objects as luxury products—balancing storytelling with commercial impact across e-commerce, retail, and wholesale channels.
- Hands-On Design Leadership - Execute high-quality design work when needed (layouts, typography, motion direction, etc.) while guiding designers and external partners.
- Manage Creative Production - Support photo shoots, post-production, and asset delivery across formats including video, static, motion, and interactive experiences.
- Maintain Brand Consistency -Ensure all creative outputs align with brand guidelines while pushing creative boundaries.
Qualifications
- 5–8 years of experience in art direction or visual design within a marketing or creative team (agency or in-house)
- Strong portfolio showcasing integrated campaigns across digital, social, and product marketing
- Proven ability to concept and execute 360° campaigns from idea to launch
- Expertise in design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma); motion/video experience is a plus
- Deep understanding of digital ecosystems, social platforms, and content formats
- Strong storytelling, typography, and layout skills
- Experience working with product marketing teams is highly preferred
- Ability to manage multiple projects and thrive in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have
- Experience with performance marketing creative (A/B testing, optimization)
- Motion design or video direction experience
- Familiarity with emerging formats (short-form video, interactive, AI-assisted creative tools)

Salary : $110,000 - $130,000
