The four main functions of this position are core accounting, financial reporting, financial analysis & strategic insights, and support.
The perfect candidate should:
· Be able to perform core accounting functions including A/P, A/R manage cash flow, cost controls, and maintain financial records including general ledger and subsidiary accounts.
· Perform cash and investment reconciliation and month end closing.
· Participate in various financial reporting duties to include maintaining dashboard, financial statements and management reports.
· Provide financial analysis and strategic insights using operational data, trends, opportunities, and risks for the industry. Develop financial models and forecasts that help to forecast growth and other metrics.
· Support other areas of the credit union and participate in audits and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
The qualifications for the Senior Accountant position are:
· College degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
· 2 years of experience in financial analysis or account (credit union/banking preferred).
· Technical and Analytical Competencies.
· Positive mindset.
· Detailed-Oriented with Strategic Perspectives.
The Senior Accountant will work closely with the leadership team located in the corporate offices in Woodbury MN. Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
