About the Role
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries and support the monthly financial close process.
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations, related analyses, and investigate outstanding items or discrepancies.
- Perform daily accounting activities, including reviewing bank activity, processing payment requests, and supporting routine accounting operations.
- Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and internal controls.
- Support internal and external audit activities by preparing schedules, documentation, and responding to requests.
- Prepare tax-related schedules and other financial reporting support as needed.
- Document procedures and identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and efficiencies.
- Collaborate with accounting team members to provide backup support and ensure deadlines are met.
- Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
Qualifications
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required.
- 3 years of accounting experience preferred.
- Experience with JD Edwards or another ERP system is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of journal entries, account reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across departments.
- A dependable, accountable, and team-oriented approach to work.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
