Help support the men and women who build our country and be a part of the team shaping the future of the construction industry. The Member Engagement & Workforce Specialist position focuses on delivering member services and value, growing member retention through relational depth and engagement, championing member recruitment, leading regional events, and leveraging internal and external sources to grow the construction industry’s workforce.
I.WHAT:
a. Collaborate with team in leading member recruitment and retention efforts
b. Execute exceptional workforce development focused initiatives that bring more talent to the industry
c. Lead/Support member-facing events - including networking, professional development, conferences, awards recognition, and the delivery of related services for these events
d. Lead contributor to planning and execution of AGC Georgia Skills Challenge competitions
II. HOW:
a. Develop in-depth knowledge of AGC Georgia’s body of work, including services and engagement opportunities provided through AGC of America.
- Assist members in leveraging current and future resources to improve their business
b. Develop and maintain trusted relationships with AGC Georgia members at all career levels, with special emphasis on company leadership, and regional member champions of AGC Georgia programs, services and benefits
- Ensure value and rate of return for all members
- Communicate member needs, feedback, ideas, etc.
c. Develop and maintain trusted relationships with leaders and front-line champions in the education pipeline:
- K-12: Georgia Department of Education and Local School Systems - including but not limited to construction-focused teachers, CTAE directors, Work-Based Learning Coordinators, School Counselors and Administrators
- Technical College System of Georgia/Apprenticeship Programs/Trade Schools: Leadership, key stakeholders, and instructors
- University Construction Management/Building Sciences Programs: Including AGC Student Chapters
d. Work in tandem with workforce development partners - including Construction Ready, AGC of America, SkillsUSA
e. Share key information from all meetings with AGC Georgia staff – including timely updates to member records
f. Assist member firms with recruitment and integration of new talent in their workforce
g. Promote involvement with AGC Georgia Foundation and Innovation in Construction Education Tax Credit
h. Provide exceptional service in a timely manner to internal and external partners
