Job Summary

The Senior Mailroom Specialist manages the processing of incoming and outgoing company mail and shipments, including payroll, equipment, and marketing materials. This role supports strict deadlines and quality standards for weekly circulars and point-of-sale/sign program materials for member retail stores. The Senior Mailroom Specialist also provides training and guidance to entry-level and working-level team members to ensure consistent processes and best practices.

**Responsibilities**

• Lead daily mailroom operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of incoming/outgoing mail and shipments
• Drive a company delivery van/box truck between the Corporate Office and Farr West Distribution Center to deliver, organize, and stage materials
• Coordinate and track shipments with internal departments to ensure accurate, on-time delivery
• Perform shipping and receiving tasks including weighing, labeling, and selecting shipping methods/cost options
• Train and mentor team members on mailroom processes, safety, and quality standards
• Maintain organization of the mailroom, staging areas, and tracking documentation
• Complete other related duties as assigned to support overall operations
  
  

**Position Requirements**

• Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
• 2 years of relevant experience preferred (mailroom, shipping/receiving, warehouse, delivery driving)
• Valid Driver's License required; safe driving record essential
• Forklift and pallet jack certification required
• Strong math skills for weights, counts, and shipping cost comparisons
• Advanced computer skills for route lookups, barcode/label printing, and identifying best shipping options
• Proficiency with scanners, printers, and shipping documentation systems
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize deadlines and maintain accurate tracking
• Experience coordinating shipments/programs involving scheduled or time-sensitive materials preferred
  
  

**Physical Requirements**

• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repeated lifting, bending, twisting, and material handling
• Local travel required using a company vehicle
