What you’ll do
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Monitor and document vital signs and changes in patient conditions to ensure their well-being.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the quality of life for residents.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring adherence to prescribed medication schedules.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in living spaces to promote a healthy environment.
- Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and mobility assistance.
- Engage with clients who have developmental disabilities or conditions like Alzheimer’s and dementia, providing specialized care as needed.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care delivery.
Basic qualifications
- Compassionate individual who enjoys caring for others
- Strong team player with a reliable work history
- 1-2 years of professional caregiving experience in various environments (in-home care, independent/assisted living, memory care community, hospital, and rehab)
- Licensed driver with insured and reliable transportation (proof of insurance required)
- Current TB or chest X-ray
- Reliable transportation
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and be occasionally on call
